White Mass for medical professionals to be held in Toms River parish


A White Mass for medical professionals including doctors, nurses, certified nursing assistants, medical technicians, hospital administrators, nursing home personnel and emergency personnel will be celebrated Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. in St. Luke Church, Toms River.

The White Mass will be offered in appreciation for their service to the local community.  Father Robert S. Grodnicki, pastor of St. Luke Parish, will be the principal celebrant.  Priests from other parishes who wish to concelebrate are welcome.

The White Mass is part of St. Luke Parish’s observance of its patron saint, St. Luke, who was a Syrian physician from Antioch and is also the patron of the medical profession.  Each year, the parish celebrates the feast of St. Luke on the Sunday closest to the actual feast day which is Oct. 18. 

St. Luke Parish is located at 1674 Old Freehold Rd., Toms River. For more information, call 732-286-2222, ext. 306.
