Diocese to mark World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly

To commemorate the observance which Pope Francis called for to be held on the fourth Sunday of July and nearest to the Memorial of Sts. Anne and Joachim, the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandparents of Jesus, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will celebrate two Masses July 23-24.
The Mass on July 23 will be at 4:30 p.m. in St. Denis Church, Manasquan, and the July 24 Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Cinnaminson.
The theme for the second World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly was taken from Psalm 92:15: “In old age, they will still bear fruit.”
