George Bontcue, longtime Catholic Charities staff member, dies


George Bontcue, who worked for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, as associate executive director of fiscal affairs for more than four decades, died July 9. He was 72.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Bontcue was a graduate of Philadelphia University and earned a master of business administration from Drexel University, Philadelphia.

Mr. Bontcue was survived by his wife, Laura; a daughter, Danielle (Thomas) Baran, and a granddaughter.

A service of remembrance was held July 13 at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, Yardley, Pa. Burial was in Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, 383 West State St., Trenton, N.J. 08607-1423.
