St. Catharine-St. Margaret Parish, Spring Lake, will host its annual Pastoral Talks series beginning March 9.

The free, five-part series, which has as its theme, “Lift Up Your Hearts” and is presented by the Spirituality Committee, offers inspiring lectures concerning various aspects of faith presented by local clergy in areas of their expertise. Each session runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and will be held in St. Margaret Church, 300 Ludlow Ave., Spring Lake. The sessions will also be available online for viewing beginning the Thursday morning after each talk using the "Pastoral Talks" link on the parish website.

The schedule of topics and presenters follows:

March 9 – “To Be of One Heart With God” with Father Damian McElroy, pastor of St. Catharine-St. Margaret Parish

March 16 – “The Sacraments, Tools of Salvation” with Father Christopher Dayton, parochial vicar of St. Rose Parish, Belmar

March 23 – “Christianity is not Dead, It’s Part of Our DNA” with Father Kevin Ashe who assists in Sacred Heart Parish, Bay Head

March 30 – “Eucharistic Revival” with Father Martin O’Reilly, pastor of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Bordentown

April 6 – “From Lent Through Easter with John Henry Newman” with Msgr. Richard Liddy, director of the Center of Catholic Studies

“The series has been enthusiastically received each year and has grown in attendance,” said Pat Giles, Spirituality Committee chairperson. “It is a wonderful opportunity for reflection and spiritual growth. Because the series will be available for in-person participation this year, it will also be a great way to meet the priests and other people in the community and reconnect.”
