All involved in parish music ministry are invited to attend “An Evening with Steve Angrisano” – a music ministry workshop on Feb. 3 beginning at 7 p.m. in St. Joseph Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River.

The evening will include time for a meet and greet with Angrisano as well as a talk with music and teaching. Choirs, cantors, music directors, music ministers, band directors and musicians are all welcome. The event is a cooperative effort by the diocesan Department of Evangelization and Family Life, the Department of Catechesis, the Office of Worship and the Department of Youth and Young Adults.

Angrisano has traveled the world for two decades as an internationally recognized Catholic composer, presenter and music missionary. He blends humor, story and song in his presentations to parishes, at retreats, workshops and youth events, working with local ministry teams to instill new life and passion in Catholic communities. Angrisano and his music have been featured at 10 World Youth Days, and he has served as emcee at three National Youth Conferences, among other notable Catholic events. He has also led groups on pilgrimages to the Holy Land and has composed music for Oregon Catholic Press. Angrisano has received awards for his work both with youth and with the pro-life movement. He earned a master's degree and graduate certificate in sacramental and liturgical theology from Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, St. Meinrad, Ind.; and a bachelor of arts degree in marketing from the University of Texas, Austin. He is married to wife Jenni; together they have three children and four grandchildren.

Registration is free at Dioceseoftrenton.org/evening-with-angrisano. All who register before Jan. 29 will be entered into a drawing for a prize. For questions, email Debbie D’Agostaro, [email protected].
