Priestly vocation discernment is focus of ‘Come and See’ event

Young men who want to learn more about discerning a vocation to the priesthood are invited to a special event with Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., June 16 located at St. John the Baptist Church, Allentown.

The event will begin with Mass celebrated by the Bishop at 5:30 p.m. in the church to which all are welcome to come and pray for an increase of vocations to the priesthood.  Following Mass, a barbecue, featuring games, activities and discussions, will be held on church grounds for those interested in discernment. The gathering is being organized by the Diocesan Department of Vocations to provide an opportunity to connect those who may be discerning a call to the priesthood. Registration for the barbecue is required.

St. John the Baptist Church is located at 1282 Yardville-Allentown Road, Allentown. To register, contact Father Jason Parzynski, Vocations Director, at [email protected] or call (609) 406-7448. To learn more about the priesthood and discernment opportunities, visit GodisCallingYou.org.
