Funeral services set for Anthony Neil Gervasio, brother of Msgr. Gervasio

Funeral services will be held Sept. 9 and 10 in St. Anthony Church, Hamilton, for Anthony Neil Gervasio who died Sept. 5 in the hospice unit at the University of Penn at Princeton. He was 90.
Mr. Gervasio was the brother of Msgr. Thomas N. Gervasio, diocesan vicar general and pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Hamilton.
Born in Langhorne, Pa., Mr. Gervasio had resided in the Trenton area for most of his life. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish and the Societa Napoletana Madonna Maria in Trenton. He ran Louie’s Restaurant and then owned and operated Gervasio’s Italian Restaurant in Hamilton from 1968 to 2006.
Mr. Gervasio was predeceased by his parents, Tammaro and Vincenza (DiCarlo) Gervasio; five siblings, Dominic and Ralph Gervasio, and three sisters, Josephine Chianese, Ursula Brinkerhoff and Vincenza Brophy, as well as a sister-in-law and brother-in-law. In addition to Msgr. Gervasio, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Theresa (Asta) Gervasio; two daughters, Virginia (Joseph) Potena, and Francine (Mark) Mazzone; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; six other siblings, as well as nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Viewing will be held Sept. 9 from 5 to 8 pm. In St. Anthony Church, 626 S. Olden Ave., Hamilton, and again Sept. 10 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in St. Mary Mausoleum, Hamilton.
