NEW YORK – The following are capsule reviews from Catholic News Service of new and recent video releases available on DVD and/or Blu-ray – as well as for online viewing. Theatrical movies have a Catholic News Service classification and Motion Picture Association rating. These classifications refer only to the theatrical version of the films below, and do not take into account any extra content.

"Le Magnifique" (1976)

Jean-Paul Belmondo stars in a failed satire of superspy adventures of the James Bond variety. Forgettable French production directed by Phillippe de Broca. The Catholic News Service classification is A-III – adults. Not rated by the Motion Picture Association. (KL Studio Classics; also available on Blu-ray)

"Reptilicus" (1962)

Formula monster movie directed by Sidney Pink in which a giant prehistoric reptile is regenerated by Danish scientists, then escapes to run amok in Copenhagen. Hokey animated monster and special effects destruction. The Catholic News Service classification is A-I – general patronage. Not rated by the Motion Picture Association. (Cheezy Flicks)
