Notre Dame SHADES club spotlight of national reporting

The SHADES club of Notre Dame High School, Lawrenceville, was the focus of video interviews filmed by Catholic New Service multimedia editor Chaz Muth and reporter Carol Zimmerman Dec. 6. The national Catholic news bureau was invited by the school to highlight the club that was formed by students to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of the student body. CNS interviewed current NDHS administration, faculty, board members, students and alumni who were instrumental in creating SHADES and for maintaining a school environment that is welcoming and inclusive. CNS hopes to use the footage as part of a larger project on race to be aired in February. More to come on this developing story.
