A message to our readers about The Monitor’s paywall

This means that visitors have unlimited access to certain key news sections, but are limited in the number of other news articles and features before being asked to subscribe. This metering and monetizing format has become a staple for many news websites that do not want to slow down their content delivery with an abundance of advertising.
During these days of so much anxiety, where our way of life has been turned on its head, we want to provide as much information to the members of our diocesan community as we possibly can. That is why all of our news and resources having to do with the coronavirus threat and our Church’s response to it are published free of any paywall restriction, as are any statements from Bishop O’Connell, any advisory from the Diocese, our LATEST NEWS category and other specialized content.
We do hope that our website visitors will support our work by subscribing; a very reasonable digital subscription rate of $15 per year is offered. Until then, please know that we will deliver the news and information you need about this crisis uninterrupted and unimpeded. If you would like to sign up for a free newsletter to stay connected, you may do so here. Thank you, God bless you and stay safe!
