From Staff Reports

Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will ordain one man to the diocesan priesthood and six others to the diaconate during Masses set for June 27 and June 20 respectively in St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold.

Rev. Mr. Stephen Sansevere, who has served as a deacon of the Diocese since 2000, will be ordained a priest at a 10 a.m. Mass June 27.  Exercising his long-time ministry in the community of St. Gabriel Parish in Marlboro, Deacon Sansevere began his priestly formation after the death of his wife in 2017.  He has spent the past year serving in St. Theresa Parish, Little Egg Harbor. Following his priestly Ordination, he will be assigned as parochial vicar of St. James Parish, Pennington; St. George Parish, Titusville, and St. Alphonsus Parish, Hopewell.

Following his diaconal Ordination, he will be referred to as a transitional deacon. Ballacillo is expected to be ordained a priest next spring.
