Caritas Chamber Chorale will present a series of Lenten concerts of sacred music entitled "Into Your Hands." The concerts will benefit the Adorno Fathers’ African Mission. The concerts will feature the Fauré "Requiem" and movements of the new work "Requiem – A Beginning" by Caritas Composer in-residence, Wayne Dietterick. Other works include Gesualdo’s "O vos omnes" and Trotta’s "Into Your Hands." Caritas Chamber Chorale ordinarily presents programs of a cappella music but is joined by Simply Strings and Wayne Dietterick on organ for this concert.

The concert will be presented: March 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1890 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville; March 21 at 6 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, and March 22 at 3 p.m. in St. Andrew Church, 244 Avenel Street, Avenel .

The concert in St. John Church will be presented as part of the parish’s “Saturday at 6” concert series and Caritas will also serve as the music for the 5 p.m. Mass that will precede the concert. The concert in St. Andrew Church is part of the parish’s 100th anniversary observance this year.

All concerts are free and open to the public. A freewill offering will benefit the St. Francis Caracciolo Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa.

Caritas Chamber Chorale is dedicated to serving the poorest of the poor through the art of sacred music. Since its founding in 2005, the chorale has sung for the Adorno Fathers’ St. Francis Caracciolo Mission in DRC, Africa, and to date has raised more than $128,000 for them, mostly for educational needs.

Caritas Chamber Chorale, directed by Barbara Sanderman, is comprised of talented volunteer singers from all walks of life from throughout central NJ.  For more information, visit www.caritaschamberchorale.org or call 732.718.0775.
