From Staff Reports

Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli will perform religious songs live on Easter Sunday from Milan’s famous Duomo Cathedral.

The famed tenor’s concert, titled "Music For Hope,” will be livestreamed from the Italian cathedral without an audience in attendance. The cathedral continues to be closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The concert, which will feature religious songs such as “Ave Maria” and “Sancta Maria,” will stream at 1 p.m. EST (7 p.m. in Italy) on Bocelli’s YouTube channel.

In a statement, the 61-year-old Catholic said, "I believe in the strength of praying together; I believe in the Christian Easter, a universal symbol of rebirth that everyone – whether they are believers or not – truly needs right now."
