UPDATE: Bishop to celebrate Palm Sunday Mass at 11:30 a.m.

An update has been made to the time that Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will celebrate Mass on Palm Sunday, April 5.

The time will be 11:30 a.m. and not 11 a.m. as reported on page 8 of the April edition of The Monitor Magazine.

The Mass, to be celebrated in St. Rose Church, Belmar, will be streamed live online without a congregation due to the coronavirus pandemic. After the livestream, it will be available for viewing at any time.

Palms will not be blessed and distributed in any churches of the Diocese on Palm Sunday because of the risk of contagion. Palms will be blessed and made available at a later time yet to be determined.

Holy Communion can only be distributed to the faithful as Viaticum for the dying until further notice.
