Blessings abound for furry and finned friends on St. Francis feast


On or near Oct. 4, parishes around the Diocese observed the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi by holding special pet blessing ceremonies. While the  majority of the pets that visited the parishes were dogs and cats, there were also parishioners who brought their goldfish, birds, and some even brought their favorite stuffed animal to receive a blessing.
