Parish to host ‘Rediscover the Eucharist’ afternoon Oct. 19

St. Benedict Parish, Holmdel, will host an afternoon presentation on “Rediscover the Eucharist” Oct. 19 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the church located at 165 Bethany Road.
Topics include: “Eucharist in Scripture;” “Church Architecture and the Temple;” “Understanding Liturgy of Eucharist;” “Eucharist in Early Church Fathers;” “Myth Busters,” and “Lectio Divina.”
Presenters will be Father Garry Koch, pastor of St. Benedict Parish; Father John Michael Patilla, parochial vicar; Father Jason Parzynski, chaplain in Notre Dame High School, Lawrenceville; Father Michael Hall, pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, West Trenton, and director of the diocesan Office of Worship, and Father Christopher Dayton, parochial vicar in St. Rose Parish, Belmar.
Other highlights of the afternoon will include presentations of student projects on Eucharistic miracles; saints devoted to the Eucharist; story time; games and crafts. The day will end with Mass at 5 p.m.
