Workshop planned to offer support to spiritual directors

The Upper Room Spiritual Center, Neptune, will offer a workshop “Accompanying Grieving Hearts, Spiritual Direction and Facing Life’s Losses” Oct. 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3455 W. Bangs Avenue, Bldg. 2.
The workshop will offer some insight and support to spiritual directors journeying with those with heavy hearts due to loss. During the workshop participants will reflect upon some of their experiences of loss, and how God transforms them into places of wisdom and light.
Presenter will be Deanna V. Sass, a Lay Ecclesial Minister for the Diocese of Trenton, certified spiritual director and NJ State licensed counselor. Sass was co-founder/administrator of the Institute for Lay Ecclesial Ministry and is presently director of the Diocesan Department of Pastoral Care.
The cost of the workshop is $70 to $85 and includes lunch. Registration is due by Oct. 1 with a $25 deposit. To register, contact the Upper Room at 732-922-0550 or email [email protected].
