'Why Design Matters' conference March 19

Georgian Court University, Lakewood, and the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association will co-sponsor a conference, “Why Design Matters,” for design professionals, educators and students March 19 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Little Theatre on the university’s campus.
Conference panelists include Skot Kremen, vice president of user experience at Ogilvy and Mather, a worldwide agency; Jenna Zilincar, co-founder and creative director of M Studio in Asbury Park, and Barbara Nessim, illustrator and former chair of Illustration at Parsons. The conference will be moderated by Dr. Geraldine Velasquez, GCU professor of art and design.
