Catholic Women of Zion Chapter I will hold a retreat day June 14 from 9 a.m. to noon in Holy Family Church, 1139 E. County Line Rd., Lakewood. Mass will precede the retreat and will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. by Father Michael Sullivan, pastor.

In addition to Mass, the retreat will feature prayer, music, sharing, prayers for healing and a presentation by speaker, Jim Manfredonia, co-founder and president of Domestic Church Media which owns and operates Eternal Word Television Network Catholic Radio Stations WFJS 1260 AM in Trenton and 89.3 FM in Freehold.

Manfredonia holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Seton Hall University, South Orange, with a specialization in radio and television broadcasting. His minor course of study was theology.

In October, 1996, Manfredonia and his wife, Cheryl, met with Mother Angelica and shared their desire to bring Catholic radio to the northeastern part of the United States. The Manfredonias’ first on-air broadcast was Sept. 15, 2008 at which time they brought full-time Catholic radio to a wide area in central New Jersey and Bucks County, Pa.  The Manfredonias’ dubbed their station with the call letters WFJS in commemoration of the late Catholic media pioneer, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

In his talk to the Catholic Women of Zion, Manfredonia will discuss his recent pilgrimage to Rome and experience of witnessing the canonizations of St. John XXIII and St. John Paul II by Pope Francis.
