St. David the King Parish, West Windsor, as part of The Religious Leaders of West Windsor, will join its neighbors in faith at the first annual West Windsor Community Day April 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Duck Pond Park, Meadow Road.

The event is meant to be a day where friends, family and neighbors of all faiths can come together to celebrate the unity and diversity of its township, as well as drug and alcohol recovery.  Food, face painting, kid’s rides, fire trucks, local organizations and vendors will all be represented.

A table manned by volunteers from St. David the King Parish will include a game and literature about Landings (Catholics returning to the Church).  The parish youth ministry BOLD will have volunteers on hand to mingle and talk with interested youth from the community.  The afternoon will include a walk for recovery from drugs and alcohol at 2 p.m. to “Celebrate Recovery.”

The Religious Leaders of West Windsor is made up of nine different religious organizations, including St. David the King Parish, that meets six times a year to plan community projects together.  The group’s involvement and goal for the event is to support the community in many facets, while all working together in representing their cohesive values as religious groups.

“As leaders of different organizations, we need to work together to better our community,” said Nanci Bachman, pastoral associate and director of Faith Formation for St. David the King Parish and the parish representative for RLWW.

The event is free and open to all.  For information, contact Bachman at 609-275-7111.
