Welcoming Jesus...in the Snow!
Welcoming Jesus...in the Snow!

Second graders in St. Joan of Arc Parish and School, joyfull welcomed the Lord into their hearts and lives when they received their First Holy Communion on a Saturday morning in early April. An added element to their special celebration was the unexpected weather which resulted in snow flurries which the youngsters enjoyed as they canvassed the parish grounds in their First Holy Communion attire. However, once inside St. Joan Church, the environment was warmed by the youngsters who reverently participated in the Mass that was concelebrated by Msgr. Richard LaVerghetta, pastor, and Father Jorge Bedoya, parochial vicar, and that special moment when they received Jesus for the very first time.
