Wayside parish to offer series on the Mass

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

St. Anselm Parish, Wayside, will offer a five-week series on “A Biblical Walk-Through the Mass” starting May 16. Sessions will run on Mondays from 2-4 p.m. and repeated from 7-9 p.m.

Based on the revised translation of the Mass, the program takes participants on an exciting tour of the Liturgy as it explores the biblical roots of the words, prayers and gestures used at Mass, all in the context of the revised Mass translation, and explain their significance.  Participants will discover how the Mass is a “true representation” of Christ’s redeeming sacrifice on the Cross; explore three key aspects of the Mass as a sacrifice, real presence and Holy Communion, and gain helpful insights for getting the most out of every Mass.

Registration forms are available in the parish office or on the website, www.stanselm.com.
