"Walk of Hope" to benefit Catholic Charities of Trenton

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, will sponsor its third annual Walk of Hope April 9 from 9 a.m. to noon in Mercer County Park, West Windsor. The course length is 3.2 miles with optional one- and two-mile walks.
Participants are invited to form a team, get sponsors and join others to reduce poverty, promote recovery and strengthen families. Each year, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, provides services to more than 100,000 people, restoring hope to one in every 19 residents of central New Jersey. Last year, nearly 300 walkers helped raise more than $17,000 in support of the agency’s programs.
Registration is $25 for adults 18 and older, and free for those 17 and under. Check-in and t-shirt pick-up is at the park’s west entrance at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Walkers are encouraged to bring canned goods to help stock the agency’s food pantry.
