Theresa Patricia Cahill, longtime parish secretary

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 21 in Sacred Heart Church, Riverton, for Theresa Patricia (Dorety) Cahill, who died Jan. 16 in her home in Riverton. She was 82.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. Cahill was a resident of Riverton for 60 years and was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish where she worked in the parish rectory for 22 years and was a member of the choir.

Mrs. Cahill was predeceased in death by her husband, Elbert Joseph Cahill Sr., and two daughters, Mary Theresa and Maureen.

She is survived by her children: Karen Marie Hoff, Elbert Joseph (Christine) Cahill Jr., Anne Marie (Larry) Stanford, Timothy Joseph (Dorothy) Cahill, Cecilia Marie (Dave) Still, Joseph Thomas III (Allison) Cahill, Peter Julian (Michelle) Cahill, Dean Patrick (Maureen) Cahill and Patricia Anne (Bruce) Small; 28 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Burial was in St. Peter Cemetery, Riverside.

Memorial donations may be sent to Catholic Charities Relief for the Haitian Earthquake, c/o 10 Pumpshire Rd., Toms River, N.J. 08753 or to the American Diabetes Association, 1060 North Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, N.J. 08003.
