'The Gospel of Joy' adult faith formation

St. Ann Parish, Lawrenceville, will host a five-week program for adults that will focus on Pope Francis’ new Apostolic Exhortation, “Evangelii Gaudium,” (“The Gospel of Joy”). All sessions are Monday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will be facilitated by Msgr. Vincent Gartland, pastor of the parish. Each session will cover a chapter from“The Gospel of Joy.”
Session I: Jan. 13 • “The World We Long For”will be based on Chapter One: The Church’s Missionary Transformation;
Session II: Jan. 20 • “ The World We Live In” will be based on Chapter Two: Amid the Crisis of Communal Commitment; S ession III: Jan. 27 • “ The World Where heaven and Earth Meet,” will be based on Chapter Three: The Proclamation of the Gospel;
Session IV: Feb. 3 • “ The World We – In Union with God – Are Called to Create,” will be based on Chapter Four: The Social Dimension of Evangelization;
Session V: Feb. 10 • “ The Joy Filled Evangelist,” will be based on Chapter Five: Spirit-Filled Evangelizers. In “The Joy of the Gospel,” which was released by the Vatican Nov. 26, the Holy Father presents his vision of the Catholic Church which is positively dedicated to evangelization with a focus on society’s poorest and most vulnerable, including the aged and unborn.
All are welcome to attend the adult faith formation offering in St. Ann Parish.
