The Feast of the Assumption at the Jersey Shore planned

The first annual Feast of the Assumption will be presented by Epiphany Parish, Brick Town, Aug. 16, 17 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. and Aug. 18 from noon to 10:30 p.m. on the church grounds located on 615 Thiele Road.
The event, an Italian Street Festival, will feature an Italian style food court, a beverage garden, amusement rides, games and nightly family-oriented entertainment. “Gemini”, a comic, magician and an all-around show stopping performer, will headline the “Feast” appearing Aug. 18 in the “Show Tent.” Aug. 18 is also “Firemen Appreciation Day”.
A Novena in honor of the Blessed Mother will be held beginning Aug. 9 after the 9 a.m. Mass and will continue through Aug. 18 with a closing Mass at 11a.m. followed by a procession onto the church grounds.
Admission is free and includes entertainment. Parking is also free of charge. For information, call 732-458-0220.
