Thanksgiving dinner basket drive

St. Aloysius Parish, Jackson, will hold its annual Thanksgiving dinner basket drive in late November for needy families of the area.

In 2013, more than 950 Thanksgiving dinner baskets, feeding more than 4,700 people, were donated by the parishioners.

After all Masses the weekends of Nov. 8-9 and Nov. 15-16, shopping lists for food and sign-up lists for volunteers will be available in the gathering space of the church and the parish office.

The food collection date is Nov. 22 between 9 and 11:30 a.m. in the parish parking lot. Volunteers and drivers are needed to help receive the dinner baskets, pack the cars and deliver the Thanksgiving dinner baskets to the recipient groups’ locations.
