Summer Scripture series in ManahawkinThe Continuing Catholic Education and Evangelization Ministry in St. Mary Parish, Barnegat, will present its sixth educational series: “A Quick Journey Through the Bible.” The eight-part DVD presentation by renowned Scripture scholar Jeff Cavins, will be shown on the following Thursdays: June 18 and 25, July 9, 23 and 30, and Aug. 6, 13 and 20 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in St. Mary of the Pines Church, Manahawkin.
The series will give participants: an overview of the Bible; help them to see how the celebration of Mass and the Sacraments and the foundations of the Catholic faith are rooted in Scripture; an appreciation of how God reveals himself through Scripture as a merciful and loving father, and teach them how Scripture relates to their daily lives.
A $10 donation is requested for books and materials.
