St. Monica Parish to mark 65th anniversary

St. Monica Parish, Jackson, will celebrate its 65th anniversary of the church and parish festival on the feast day of St. Monica, Aug. 27 at 679 W. Veterans Highway. The day will begin with an outdoor Mass at 11 a.m., weather permitting. The annual parish picnic will follow. The day will include a DJ, games, food and bounce house. Wristbands are available prior to the day of the festival; $10 for adults; $2 for children ages two – 12 and free for those younger than two; Day of event $13 for adults and $3 for children.
