St. Francis Medical Center, Brighton, celebrate 'Power of Pink'
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
During the month of October, Brighton Collectibles in the Quaker Bridge Mall, Lawrenceville, joined forces with St. Francis Medical Center, and has identified the Trenton-based hospital as the recipient of a portion of the proceeds on the sale of their special limited-edition ‘2014 Power of Pink’ bracelet. Ten dollars from the sale of every $60 bracelet sold will benefit St. Francis Medical Center’s cancer awareness outreach.
“When we were contacted by our local Brighton store in the Quaker Bridge Mall, I was very happy that they wanted to make St. Francis Medical Center the benefactor of their breast cancer events,” said Norma Monaghan, president and CEO of the SFMC Foundation and senior vice president of development.
St. Francis Medical Center has been able to assist with providing community based education on breast cancer awareness and mammography screenings for more than 1,150 Trenton women who would otherwise not have access to these services. The program’s two goals are to promote breast health awareness to the medically underserved and minority women in the Greater Trenton community and to provide screening mammography to medically underserved and minority in the Greater Trenton community.
