Sister Teresa O'Malley, taught in Sacred Heart School, Mount Holly

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 5 in Our Lady of Peace Residence, Scranton, Pa., for Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister Teresa M. O’Malley who died Jan. 30.

Born in Avoca, Pa., the former Sister M. Eugenius entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sept. 7, 1951; made her temporary profession of vows Aug. 2, 1954, and her final profession of vows Aug. 2, 1957. She held a bachelor of arts and a master of science degrees in education from Marywood College, Scranton.

Sister Teresa taught in New Jersey and Pennsylvania including Sacred Heart School, Mount Holly, from 1954-1955. She also held positions in St. Joseph Center, Scranton; St. Joseph Hospital, Carbondale, Pa., and Marywood College.

Burial was in St. Catherine Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to support the retired Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters c/o the IHM Sisters Retirement Fund, IHM Center, 2300 Adams Ave., Scranton, Pa. 18509.
