A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 27 in Our Lady of Peace Residence, Scranton, Pa., for Immaculate Heart of Mary Sister Moira Murray, who died Nov. 24. She was 84.

Sister Moira was a former educator in Sacred Heart School, Mount Holly, from 1986-1993.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the former Sister Mary Owen, entered the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary July 14, 1948; made her temporary profession of vows May 8, 1951, and final profession of vows Aug. 2, 1954. She held a bachelor of science degree in education from Marywood College.

In addition to Sacred Heart School, Sister Moira served on the faculties in schools in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island and New York.

Sister Moira is survived by two sisters and two cousins.

Burial was in St. Catherine Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the retired IHM Sisters, c/o the IHM Sisters Retirement Fund, IHM Center, 2300 Adams Ave., Scranton, Pa. 18509.
