Sister Mary Rosaria Krzysko, former teacher in Howell

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 2 in the Sisters of the Resurrection Provincialate Chapel, Castleton, N.Y., for Resurrection Sister Mary Rosaria Krzysko, who died July 30 at age 94.
Born in Amsterdam, N.Y., Sister Mary Rosaria professed her final vows as a Sister of the Resurrection Aug. 15, 1939. She celebrated the 75th anniversary of her religious profession in 2009.
Sister Mary Rosaria earned a bachelor of science degree in education from St. Rose College, Albany, N.Y. Her primary work was in the field of education and in the Diocese of Trenton, she taught for 30 years in St. Veronica School, Howell.
Sister Mary Rosaria was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Niemczyk Krzysko, and her eight siblings. She is survived by a niece and a nephew.
Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Castleton.
