Sister Lucy Teti, former St. Joachim School, Trenton, teacher

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 21 in St. Lucy Chapel in Villa Walsh, Morristown, for Filippini Sister Lucy Teti who died April 14. She was 82.

Born in Union City, Sister Lucy entered the Religious Teachers Filippini in 1949. She received her habit in 1950 and made her final religious profession in 1953. Sister Lucy was awarded a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and a masters’ degree in administration and supervision from Seton Hall University, South Orange.

Sister Lucy taught in elementary, intermediate and junior high school levels. She taught second grade in St. Joachim School, Trenton, from 1951-1952. Other schools where she taught and served as principal were in the Archdiocese of Newark as well as in New York and Pennsylvania.

Sister Lucy is survived by three sisters; one brother and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Hall, c/o Sister Ascenza Tizzano, provincial superior, Villa Walsh, 455 Western Ave., Morristown, N.J. 07960.
