Sister Loretta Hogan, former assistant superintendent of Catholic education

Sister of St. Joseph Loretta Hogan, a former assistant superintendent of Catholic education in the Diocese of Trenton, died Sept. 14 at age 93.

Sister Loretta entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Chestnut Hill in 1947. A gifted educator and administrator, she served as a teacher and administrator in various archdiocesan/diocesan school systems.

Prior to her death she served in the Archdiocese of Newark as assistant superintendent of schools, advising pastors and principals on financial assessments of the schools in the archdiocese.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
