'Shining Lights' to be honored at gala

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

The Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County will honor St. Francis Medical Center, Hamilton, and Kathy and Anthony Lo Bue, members of St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold, at the 11th annual Shining Lights gala to be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 11 in the Stone Terrace by John Henry’s, 2275 Kuser Road, Hamilton.

Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County (ICGMC) is a non-profit organization based in Mercer County. Together with various partner congregations, ICGMC recruits, trains, and manages volunteer caregivers who assist with everyday tasks, including transportation to appointments, assistance with grocery shopping and errands, and providing companionship through phone calls and friendly visits. ICGMC relies on charitable support from the community to advance its mission.

A legacy supporter of ICGMC for more than 15 years, St. Francis Medical Center has a history of supporting the agency’s mission to serve homebound elderly and people with disabilities. The missions of the two organizations are aligned in serving the community, leading many St. Francis Medical Center colleagues to become volunteers and caregivers for ICGMC over the years. Both Saint Francis Medical Center and ICGMC maintain strong ties to many churches and places of worship.

Kathy Lo Bue, managing director of the Glen Eagle Advisors Freehold office, helps clients achieve their lifelong financial goals. A faithful supporter of ICGMC since 2010, she currently serves on the Advisory Board following her service as chair of the board of trustees. Lo Bue and her husband’s philanthropy supports many local organizations.

Tickets for the gala are $70 per person and include dinner and musical entertainment by Ciaran Sheehan, an Irish-born actor who has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway and Broadway theater productions, including “Les Misérables” and “Phantom of the Opera.”
