Sessions on how to prepare a spiritual will
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
“The Journey Never Ends – How to Prepare a Spiritual Will” will be the theme of a two-part presentation to be held Aug. 23 and 30 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Leo the Great Convent, Lincroft.
Facilitated by Sister of St. Joseph Jeanne Belli, parish pastoral associate, the presentation will address aspects on what it means to have a spiritual will.
A spiritual will is not a last will and testament. Writing a spiritual will is a way of discerning what is of enough value for a person to dedicate their vision to, gifts and energy. It is also about what a person has learned – perhaps values formed by love, friendships, service, success, failure, integrity as well as his or her personal moral tenor. A spiritual will concerns who a person has become, their values, interests, experiences, relationships and their faith.
Fee for resources is $11. To register visit stleothegreat.com/spiritual-will. Deadline to register is Aug. 16.
