St. Benedict Parish, Holmdel, pulled out all the stops for its annual carnival, with lots of rides, games, food and fun for people from the parish and the surrounding community. With free admission the evening of Sept. 5, the carnival was packed with youngsters who enjoyed the rides including the Zipper, the Ferris wheel and the round-up. There were also kiddie rides for the tinier tots. Saturday evening featured a spectacular fireworks display by Garden State Fireworks, and the well-known Irish band, “Paddy and the Pale Boys” came out and gave a performance for an audience who danced and sang along. Sunday, too, was packed and a treat for the youngsters was a guest appearance by Anna and Elsa, characters in the movie, Frozen. Photos courtesy of St. Benedict Parish
