Senior Spirituality Day slated for July 18

Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., will be principal celebrant of a Mass to be held at the annual “Senior Spirituality and So Much More” Day, slated for July 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in St. Gregory the Great Parish, Hamilton Square. Sponsored by the diocesan Department of Pastoral Care, the event is intended for adults ages 55 and over and features speakers and musical entertainment designed with seniors in mind.
Msgr. Sam Sirianni, rector of the St. Robert Bellarmine Co-Cathedral, Freehold, will enlighten the seniors with a spiritual message entitled “Passing on the Faith From Generation to Generation,” and members of the International Catholic Grandparents Association will offer their views on the subject. “Rock-N-Rhythm” will perform a musical tribute to the early days of rock and roll and doo-wop. The day will conclude with Mass with Bishop O’Connell.
Registration fee is $18, which includes coffee, a snack and hot lunch, and beverages. Space is limited, and registration must be received by July 10. No walk-ins will be admitted. Attendees are encourage to show their patriotic spirit by wearing red, white and blue.
