Seminarian retreat was time for rest, spiritual renewal
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
Seminarians of the Diocese gathered for prayer, formation, spiritual growth and fellowship during a week-long retreat hosted by the diocesan Office of Clergy and Consecrated Life July 24 – 28 in the Loyola Retreat House, Morristown.
Msgr. Thomas J. Mullelly, diocesan vicar for clergy and consecrated life and director of seminarians, and Father Pablo Gadenz, an associate professor of theology at Seton Hall University, South Orange, served as principal speakers and led discussions among the future priests. The seminarians’ rigorous schedule, which included morning and evening prayer, daily Mass, conference sessions and communal meals, still offered the men time to offer support and insight to their fellow future priests.
