Seminar on domestic violence in the family planned

St. Joan of Arc’s Life Justice Ministry, Marlton, will host a seminar on domestic violence in the family Feb. 18 in Pedata Hall, 100 Willow Bend Road, at 7:30 p.m.
Don Harris, Catholic Charities South Jersey volunteer, will be the guest speaker. Harris is on call many days and nights to answer the call of women who have been physically abused by her husband, boyfriend, or a male relative. Police contact Harris to assist these women and stay with them while at the police station. He assists the women with paperwork and accompanies them to court for protection from their abusers. Harris will also assist them and children under the age of 18 to find a safe haven at Providence House.
