Scripture study to focus on Infancy Narratives

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

St. Catharine Parish, Middletown, will host a series on the Gospel Infancy Narratives Oct. 28, Nov. 4, 11 and 18 from 7:30-9 p.m.

Presenter will be Father Garry Koch, administrator of St. Benedict Parish and School, Holmdel.

The series will focus on how the Gospels of Matthew and Luke each approach the Birth of Jesus as a fulfillment of the prophecies and promises contained in the Hebrew Scriptures, ye how each addresses this fulfillment in different ways leading many people to view them as mere fanciful myths.

Father Koch and participants will consider the various dimensions of the works of Matthew and Luke as they stand independently of one another and how they are integrated in liturgy.

Fee for the series is $30. Checks may be mailed St. Catharine Parish at 108 Middletown Rd., Holmdel. Payment may also be made the first evening of class.

To register, contact Kathy McBurnie at 732-842-3963, ext. 13 or email [email protected]
