Scripture series in Holmdel

St. Catharine Parish, Holmdel, will hold a Scripture series on The Origins of the Gospels April 25, May 5, 12 and 19 from 7:30-9 p.m.

Father Garry Koch, parochial vicar of St. Joseph Parish, Toms River, presenter, will explore the history behind the writings of the Gospels and the formation of the canon of Gospel literature as found in the New Testament.

He will address some of the controversies and questions that surface regarding the Gospels such as their histories and traditions. Popular novels, movies and television documentaries offering interesting and usually erroneous speculation about the aspects of the New Testament: how many Gospels there are; their authenticity, and questions about the “missing Gospels.”

Cost for the series is $30. Make checks payable to Father Garry Koch. Payment is due the first evening of the series. Space is limited to the first 40 people who register.
