Retreat to heal the wounds of abortion

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

The Upper Room Spiritual Center, Neptune, will host Rachel’s Vineyard Post-abortive Retreat Feb. 27, 6:30 p.m. to March 1, 3 p.m. at its retreat center at 3455 West Bangs Avenue.

The psychological and spiritual wounds of abortion can be sharp, deep and crippling. It can have a deep numbness, pain and symptoms may be hard to recognize.  It can also have a devastating impact on the father or grandparents of the aborted child and friends of the mother.

Rachel’s Vineyard’s Retreat is a chance to focus on this painful time through a supportive non-judgmental process, in an atmosphere of confidentiality, understanding, and compassion.  It is designed to help both women and men experience the mercy and compassion of God.

Judy Warenkiewicz, facilitator for six years, said “Now I, as facilitator, had the privilege, first hand, to witness God’s tremendous love and healing.”

The cost of the retreat is $130 for the weekend and includes lodging, meals, retreat materials and registration.  Financial assistance is available.  Anyone who may benefit from this retreat may attend.

For more information, contact Judy Warenkiewicz at 732-536-6871 or email [email protected].  All inquiries are strictly confidential.

Another retreat will be held June 12 to 14.
