Retreat planned for women

The Catholic Women of Zion Chapter II Ocean County will hold a mini-day retreat for women Sept. 22 in St. Pius X Church at 300 Lacey Rd., Forked River. The day will begin with Mass at 8 a.m. in the church and then continue in the parish hall from 9 a.m. to noon. The day consists of a prayer service, music, speaker, sharing, networking and lunch.
Cindy Craft, lay ecclesial minister for the Diocese of Trenton who currently serves St. Mary Church, Barnegat, as a youth minister, will be the guest speaker. Her topic will be “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World.”
Admission is $20 and includes lunch, payable on the day of the luncheon. Advanced registration is necessary by Sept. 18. To register, call 609-693-5107 or visit www.cwoz.org.
