Religious education registration set for special needs children and adults

The Diocesan Holy Innocents Society for those who are learning challenged will hold registration, parent orientation and Mass practice Sept. 12 from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. in the CCD Center at St. Mark Church, 215 Crescent Parkway and Third Avenue, Sea Girt.

The Catholic-based program, which runs every Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m., is open to all students, ages five to school-aged teens, as well as adults.

A staff of professionals will conduct classes in music, preparation for the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation, Bible study, and arts and crafts. 

A formal opening of the program will be held Sept. 19 at the 10 a.m. Mass in St. Mark Church.  A social gathering will follow.  All parents, friends, and benefactors are invited to attend.
