RCIA retreat to offer day of spiritual refreshment

The diocesan Department of Evangelization and Catechesis will offer a retreat geared towards Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults directors and team members working in parishes throughout the Diocese of Trenton.
With the theme of “Doing God’s Work with True Devotion,” the day is engineered to help bring together those engaged in the mission “to make disciples.”
The retreat will be held April 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in St. Aloysius School, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, and will begin with a light breakfast. Retreat presenter will be Dr. Julie Burkey, D. Min., an adjunct professor at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology in Seton Hall University, West Orange.
Burkey’s specialty is in spirituality for the laity, as well as in evangelization, making her an ideal leader for the morning session. She presently serves as coordinator for Workplace Spirituality and Evangelization Initiatives in the Seton Hall University School of Theology.
The registration cost is $10 per person includes a light breakfast and lunch.
