'Protecting Your Assets' workshop rescheduled

July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.

The Northern Burlington Deanery Regional Adult Faith Formation Ministry has rescheduled its presentation on “Protecting Your Assets for You and Your Family” to Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. in Holy Cross High School, 5035 Route 130 South, Delran.

Presenter Deacon Tom Begley, who is an attorney, said that “After spending years accumulating our assets, we want to enjoy them during our lifetime and distribute them to our loved ones upon our passing.”

“Unfortunately, these goals are often thwarted by long-term care costs, taxes and scam artists. This program will teach participants on how to identify and avoid these obstacles and introduce you to the tools to create a viable estate plan,” said Deacon Begley.

Deacon Begley, who has been practicing law for more than 23 years, is a graduate of Georgetown University and the chair of the Trusts and Estates group of Capehart & Scatchard, P.A., which has its primary office in Mount Laurel. He concentrates his practice in estate and tax planning, business succession planning, special needs planning, estate administration, probate litigation and elder law, and has written extensively and presented national lectures on such topics.

Deacon Begley was ordained a deacon in 2006 and is currently assigned to Resurrection Parish. He and his wife, Ana, have been married for 23 years and they are the parents of five children ranging in ages 19 to four.

To register for the Feb. 5 presentation, contact Pat Brooks at 856-461-6555 or email: [email protected].
