St. Paul Parish, Princeton, and the Princeton Council, Knights of Columbus, will host an Evening of Remembrance marking the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the church located at 214 Nassau St.
A ceremony will be held and members of the Princeton Police Department Color Guard, the Princeton Fire Department Color Guard and the Knights of Columbus Color Guard will be in attendance.
In anticipation of the Evening of Remembrance, the parish will have more than 3,000 American flags displayed on the front lawn of the parish. The flags will serve as a reminder of all who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks.
“This remembrance is critically important, especially considering the 15th anniversary, for current and future generations to remember the events of 9-11 and the sacrifices made by those who lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center, in Pennsylvania and the Pentagon,” said Joseph Bendas, grand knight and head of the Knights of Columbus.
“We feel honored to be hosting such a special event at St. Paul Parish and welcome all to participate by visiting the memorial or attending the Evening of Remembrance,” stated Msgr. Joseph N. Rosie, pastor of St. Paul Parish.
