Presidential presentations given in St. Aloysius School
July 29, 2019 at 12:37 p.m.
In celebration of President’s Day, the third grade class in St Aloysius School, Jackson, presented “The Lives of the Presidents of the United States.” Each student selected a president or first lady, found fun and interesting facts about their person and then presented their findings. The students also had an opportunity to dress in costume as they presented the information.
This event was the first stage in the class’ introduction to public speaking. It is a goal of the school to have students feel comfortable with speaking in front of others by the time they reach eighth grade.
Commenting on the Presidents project, student Joe Dellocono said, “I liked learning about the different battles Teddy Roosevelt fought.”
Catlin Mahala remarked on how she enjoyed finding interesting facts about First Lady Pat Nixon.
